St. Martin / Sint Maarten has one of the highest rate of repeat tourism in the Caribbean region. The hospitality sector is well established on both sides, and staff is welcoming and warm, makes you feel ‘come home’. Expensive accommodation normally has great architecture and landscapes, and exclusive rooms are featuring exquisite and stylish furnishing. Expect rates from anywhere between 200 and 900 US Dollars per night. Smaller resorts with less amenities are also available, no need to empty your wallets to enjoy a fabulous vacation on our island. St. Martin has more relaxed and confidential small properties. A ‘taxes de sejour’ applies, depending on the property it will be more or less between 2 to 5 US Dollars per day. Sint Maarten has many large resorts. Very often you will find a casino in the resort, a nightclub, bars, good night life and lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Government (5 to 8%_) and services charges (10 to 15%) are added to your bill. Most of the resorts have a Spa suggesting specialized and exclusive beauty treatments and massages.
